Arboretum Hosts Arbor Day Celebration Thousands of people gathered on the University of Kentucky campus to celebrate trees this Arbor Day weekend. The event took place at the Arboretum State Botanical Garden which features over 100 acres of trees, flowers, and other plants. The goal of the event was to promote education and appreciation. Humans celebrating were joined by Smokey the Bear, Louie the Lightning Bug, and Rosie Recycling.
